Marrakech Atlas mountains and Three Valleys & Waterfalls is a full-day trip from Marrakech that takes you through three of the Atlas Mountains’ most beautiful valleys and the heart of traditional Berber life. A four-wheel-drive vehicle or minivan will take you into the mountains where you will see idyllic waterfalls, timeless villages, the Oukaimeden Valley, and the Asni Valley. A dramatic journey along stunning mountain roads leads you to a Berber home for your lunch, or, if you wish, to a restaurant. The Kik Plateau and Takerkoust Lake should be part of your visit.

Your Marrakech atlas mountains depart from Marrakech with an experienced guide to the first Ourika valley, about 1 hour drive from Marrakech. It is famous for its waterfalls (to visit this waterfalls, you need to walk for about 1 hour and 20 minutes for going and returning with a mountain guide). There are also Berber women extracting Argan oil (the unique Moroccan oil) here. You will also get spectacular views as far as the eye can see.

Taking a path that stands at 1800 meters above sea level, you will continue through the second valley known as Oukaimeden valley.

you will pass through traditional Berber villages built from adobe and stones, and if you want to experience the authentic life of Berber people, we can arrange a delicious lunch for you in a typical Berber house as optionale. After that you will reach the third Asni valley, famous by its fruit trees (Apples, walnut, almonds, peaches…), this is where you can enjoy the sight of the snowy summits of the High Marrakech Atlas Mountains. then you cross the Kik plateau, getting to the beautiful Takerkoust lake that is used as a reservoir and to generate hydropower. The Day trip to atlas Mountains ends with a return drive to Marrakech…
