Day Trip From Marrakech to Imlil Details:

Marrakech day tour picks you up at 09:00 from your hotel. In the next five hours, you can make your way south up the Moulay Brahim Gorges in the Atlas Mountains. The Asni Saturday market, followed by Imlil (1740m) on the Western High Atlas mountain range, is an important trailhead, with paths and streams going in all directions. We will meet your local guide here to have a welcome glass of mint tea in the village, before setting off on a 4km excursion in the direction of the Berber village of Aremd towards the south. traversing the rugged slopes of the Western High Atlas, the jagged peaks of the Toubkal Massif.

We will stop at Aremd to visit this rather odd village in the Valley, built seemingly house upon house on a small moraine spur. overlooking ancient terraced barley, corn, and vegetable fields that are always surrounded by almond and walnut trees. Our lunch will be served in a barber family in the village before we drive down the other side of the valley back to Imlil and our return to Marrakech.
