Agadir day trip from Marrakech:  Agadir is considered the “Miami of Morocco”, with its nightlife, restaurants, golf and horse-riding, beach basking and water-based fun, and kasbah views. While named after a 16th-century fortress (agadir) up on the hill to the north of it, Agadir was built as a resort around the sandy bay here. With its modern architecture, wide, tree-lined avenues, open squares, and pedestrian precincts, the Moroccan town contrasts with its narrow streets. The new Marina of Agadir is lined with boutique shops, restaurants and apartments. The focus of downtown is the shopping centre at Place du Prince Sidi Mohammed. Agadir’s splendid beach stretches 10km (6 miles) to the south. There is a wide array of activities available on the beach, including wind-surfing and sailing.
