Excursion to Ouirgan Valley Details

Discover real Berber village life far away from the commercialization seen in other High Atlas valleys such as Ourika and Imlil. Enjoy an authentic Atlas Mountain experience in a truly spectacular setting. In the Azzaden Valley we follow a trail through orchards to Ouirgane village passing walnut and almond trees, olive groves and numerous fruit trees including apple, peach, plum, apricots, quince, lemon and fig.

In the village we walk to the river then visit the local mill for a demonstration of how to make Berber bread. We’ll also learn about day to day village life. Lunch is served at local berber house , a stunning nature retreat built on the slopes of the Azzaden Valley on the bend of a river. If you are still feeling active there is the option of a short walk to Torort village before we return to Marrakech.

Note : A stop to visit a local market will be made on market days – Tuesday (in Tahanoute), Thursday (in Ouirgane) and Saturday (in Asni).
