Marrakech Tour By Caleche

Even though it might initially seem a bit touristy, a caleche ride is a really good way to get around Marrakech and explore some interesting sights both inside and outside of the walls of the old city. The old tanneries and the Majorelle Gardens are of particular interest but you can vary the route just by telling your guide what you’d like to see if you have a preference.

Marrakech by Caleche Sightseeing Details

Travelling by horse and carriage and accompanied by a local guide for expert advice and local knowledge we follow the ‘Route of the Ramparts’ to circumnavigate Marrakech’s Medina.

Our route during this 3-hour tour allows time for plenty of photo stops and to make optional visits to the Marrakech tanneries and Majorelle Gardens. The tour is gently-paced and relaxing offering a different perspective on Marrakech – we see so much more than we would on foot or in a car in the time available.

This route can be tailored to include any particular interests, or just follow our tried and tested route which heads anti-clockwise around the medina, covering
approx. 20 km. Each caleche can seat up to five people (including a guide). Larger groups travel in several caleche.
